The Graduate Immigration Route (GIR) enables international students who have earned a qualifying degree from a UK higher education institution to remain in the UK for up to two years (or three years for PhD holders) to work or search for employment at any skill level. Open to students of all nationalities, including those from India, the GIR applies to individuals who have completed undergraduate or postgraduate studies at a recognized UK university. Eligibility
- You must successfully finish an undergraduate or higher-level degree at a UK higher education institution that has a proven record of compliance.
- You must possess a valid Tier 4 or Student visa when submitting your application.
- Your course must be completed while your Tier 4 or Student visa is still valid.
- The qualification must be eligible, such as a bachelor’s degree, postgraduate degree, or another approved program.
- You are required to submit your application from inside the UK.
- There is no need for a job offer or a minimum salary requirement.
